北京合气会隶属于合气会本部道场。位于东京的合气会本部道场，是合气道的中心地，也是世界最大的合气道社团。维礼安老师是本部道场的学生，他在1992年第一次到访本部道场，并在1997年－2004年的八年间，他居住在离本部道场仅300米的住所。合气会给与他考试的权力，维礼安老师自己可以举行级别和段位考试。

Beijing Aikikai is affiliated directly with the Aikikai World Headquarters Hombu Dojo.  Hombu Dojo is the world center of Aikido.  William sensei is a Hombu Dojo student, having first trained there in 1992 and lived about 300 meters from the dojo from 1997 into 2004.  William sensei is authorized to give examinations in China, both kyu and dan rank, and all students promotions are registered at Hombu Dojo.
